Clan MacGregor is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV. It is a blend of around fifteen malt and grain whiskies from the Highlands, Lowlands and Speyside, with Kininvie as the main malt source, and it is produced by William Grant & Sons.
The nose is grainy and cracker-like, with floral notes, pine, beeswax, vanilla, malt and citrus. The palate opens sweet with caramel and honey, then moves to pipe tobacco, tar and cereal grain; some tasters also find banana, dark chocolate and baking spices. The finish is clean and sweet, with malt, brine and faint peat, and a biscuity or baked apple character for some.
