Clonakilty – Port Cask Irish Whiskey (70cl, 43.6%)

Clonakilty Port Cask is an Irish whiskey that blends the distillery's own single pot still spirit with single grain whiskey. It is bottled at 43.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is triple distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley. Pure spring water is introduced gradually as part of the distillery's 'gentle cut' process. Peach, apple and vanilla lead on the nose. The palate brings cherries, raisin and spice, and the finish is soft, with chocolate and gentle warmth.
