Clonakilty Single Batch is an Irish blended whiskey, bottled at 43.6% in a 70cl bottle. It brings together single malt and single grain whiskeys that matured for between seven and ten years in bourbon casks.
After blending, it is finished twice: first in virgin oak, then in NEOC casks, which are former Bordeaux wine casks toasted again once emptied. It is made in small batches and has natural colour.
The nose offers vanilla, spice, freshly cut grass and ripe apples and pears. Pepper and ginger lead the palate, with grassy notes, almonds and a little vanilla. The finish is long, with fine spice.
