Cluny 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV, produced by John E. McPherson & Sons Ltd. It was bottled for D&C Bologna, mainly for the Italian market.
The nose is led by dark sherry fruit, with ripe plums and cherries, charred wood and soft spice, sweet and slightly vinous. On the palate the sherry influence is strong, woody and slightly sweet over a dry backbone, rich and mature in character.
The finish is dry, with echoes of oak and lingering sherry warmth.
