This is Clynelish 14 Year Old, a Highland single malt from the Flora & Fauna series. It is gold in colour.
The nose is mineral and flinty, with flowers such as peony and violet, grass and paraffin, followed by a little yeast, candle wax and touches of lemon. The palate is big, peppery and fairly salty, with brine, bitter orange, olives, juniper and ginger, then vanilla and toasted oak bring more roundness. The finish is medium to long, bitter and salty.
