This Clynelish was distilled on 4 May 1990 and matured for 32 years in a single bourbon barrel, cask 3507. Signatory Vintage bottled it on 24 October 2022 for its Cask Strength Collection. The barrel gave 115 numbered bottles at 45.8%. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. It comes in a black metal tin. The nose starts with damp chalk, crushed slate, waxy paraffin, lamp oil and shoe polish, with resin and herbs, then fresh mint leaves, passion fruit and mango. The palate is bitter and resinous, with bitter herbs and crushed pine needles, followed by lemon and grapefruit, a little iodine and a hint of cough syrup. The medium finish is precise and citrus-led, with limoncello and Green Chartreuse.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
