This is a 25 year old Clynelish single malt from the Artist #11 series, bottled independently by La Maison du Whisky. It was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2021 at 53.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a sherry butt, and the outturn was 618 bottles.
The nose combines blood orange, chocolate, apricot, grilled walnuts and rhubarb with tropical fruit, a medicinal touch and sandalwood. On the palate malted barley leads into red fruit, cream, tannins, heather flowers and ripe fruit. The finish is very long and silky, with rancio and wood.
