This is a Highland single malt from Clynelish, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. It was distilled on 11 December 1996 and bottled on 11 October 2017 at 20 years old, after maturing in a refill sherry butt. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtering.
The nose opens with candle wax, honeycomb and resin, then caramelised apples, poached pears, orange zest and ripe pineapple, with toffee and toasted nuts. The palate is thick, oily and waxy, with black pepper, tobacco, toasted oak and a light saline note. The finish is long and dry, with waxy fruit, ginger, nutmeg, bitter cocoa and a trace of ash.
