Clynelish – 30 1995/2025 Signatory Vintage Symingtons Choice Refill Sherry Butt

This is a 30 year old Clynelish from the Highlands, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025 by Signatory Vintage as a Symingtons Choice release. It is a single cask bottling, matured in a refill sherry butt and offered at cask strength. The whisky is described as oily and complex, balanced between citrus, honey, mineral tones and warm spice. The nose combines pronounced maritime notes with old leather and a fine saltiness. On the palate, clove spice meets dark chocolate and well-integrated oak. The finish is long, with lingering bitter chocolate and a light coastal note.
