This is a 32 year old Clynelish from the Highlands, bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of its Cask Strength Collection.
The whisky was distilled in 1990 and matured in two bourbon barrels until it was bottled in July 2022. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose shows fine beeswax and a lively sea note around vanilla, caramel and juicy mandarin, with a background of wild heather. The palate is silky, with creamy sweetness, ripe apple, subtle spice, a hint of seaweed and rich caramel. The finish is long, with gentle vanilla sweetness and an oily texture.
