Clynelish – 8 Years Old Batch #2 (48%)

This is the second batch of Thompson Bros.' 8 year old Clynelish, a single malt distilled at Clynelish Distillery in Brora, on the Sutherland coast in the Highlands. The Dornoch-based independent bottler released it under its Sutherland Single Malt label, with label art by KMGYEAH. It spent all 8 years in refill hogsheads, which leave the distillery's own character in the foreground. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 48% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. Thompson Bros. describe it as bright, zippy and wonderfully zesty, with a big, mouth-coating texture and the waxiness Clynelish is known for.
