An 8-year-old Clynelish single malt from the Highlands, released as Batch 002 by Thompson Bros. of Dornoch, whose home lies only a few kilometres from the distillery.
It is bottled at 48% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose is described as maritime notes and light citrus fruit, carried on a waxy, oily texture. The palate combines lively minerality with fine honey sweetness and an oily fullness. The long finish stays maritime, with a lightly spicy note.
