Cock of the Walk Proprietors Reserve Wheated Bourbon (75cl)

Cock of the Walk Proprietors Reserve is a high wheat bourbon, with wheat taking the place of rye as the secondary grain. The whiskey is column distilled at an undisclosed Kentucky distillery, then matured by Preservation Distillery in Bardstown in heavily charred new American oak with a proprietary toast. It is bottled non-chill-filtered in small batches, each at its own strength, so the proof differs from one batch to the next. The nose is buttery and dessert-like, with almond toffee, caramel candy, baked apple, dried peach, golden raisin and a savoury tobacco note. The palate is rich and velvety, with vanilla.
