Cody Road Single Barrel Bourbon is made by the Mississippi River Distilling Company in LeClaire, Iowa. It is named after Buffalo Bill Cody. Each bottle is filled from one selected barrel, and this one is bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is warm vanilla, caramelised sugar, spicy oak and light red fruit. The palate is full-bodied, with honey, toffee, cinnamon and toasted oak, and the strength adds punch without harshness. The finish is long, warm and slightly spicy, with a hint of rye sweetness.
