Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Amaranth

A bourbon from the Colonel E.H. Taylor range, released as Amaranth Grain of the Gods. It uses amaranth as the flavouring grain and honours Taylor's spirit of innovation. Amaranth was first cultivated by the Aztecs, who called it the grain of the gods. It is similar to wheat, and its name roughly translates as never fading. It is described as having a nose of butterscotch and spearmint, and a finish of pecans and dark berries.
