Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

This is a straight bourbon from hand-selected barrels, bottled directly from the cask without cutting or filtering, at more than 125 proof. It is named after Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who owned Buffalo Trace Distillery before Prohibition. The barrels were aged in warehouses built over a century ago under Taylor's supervision. The nose has cooked berries, caramel and a slightly floral note. The palate is bold and spicy, with toasty vanilla, dried oak and pepper. The finish is long, with a strong rye character and lingering fruit.
