Compagnie des Indes Haiti 11 Year Old Rum (70cl, 43%)

Compagnie des Indes Haiti is an 11-year-old aged rum from Haiti, bottled at 43% ABV in a 700 ml bottle and limited to one cask of 263 bottles. The Barbancourt family began distilling in 1862, the present distillery was founded in 1949, and continuous distillation replaced the still process in 1990. Fermentation lasts 72 hours and only locally grown sugar is used. The nose is fresh, with spice and cherry notes. The palate is relatively fresh, with a warm, woody presence. The finish has a satisfying cherry note.
