Compagnie des Indes Reunion 2004 Savanna 18 Year Old Rum (70cl, 52.9%)

A single cask rum from Reunion, distilled in 2004 by Savanna and bottled in 2022 by Compagnie des Indes. It is made from molasses and bottled at cask strength, limited to one cask and 305 bottles. No colouring is added. Strong estery head notes point to a high-ester rum. Intense fruit aromas and hints of cherry appear on both the nose and palate. The finish shows strong coconut and light smoke notes. La Reunion is a French overseas department, like Guadeloupe and Martinique.
