Compass Box Delilah XXV (2018)

This Compass Box bottling was made to mark the 25th anniversary of Delilah's, the punk rock whiskey bar in Chicago. It is a blend, released in 2018 in an edition of 8,520 bottles. The whisky was matured in American oak and a selection of sherry casks, which gives a warm, spicy and slightly sweet style. The nose has dark sugar, soft sherry, vanilla, red fruit and light spices. The palate offers sherry sweetness, dried fruit, biscuit, toffee and a gentle spiciness. The finish is medium to long, soft and balanced between sweetness and spice.
