Compass Box Ethereal (70cl, 49%)

Ethereal is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle. It was put together from a Highland single malt, two Islay single malts and a smaller share of Speyside single malt, with the whiskies between 17 and 26 years old. The name nods to Eleuthera, the first blended malt Compass Box made. It was bottled to mark 65 years of La Maison du Whisky, in an outturn of 2430 bottles. The malts matured in recharred and refill American oak barrels and hogsheads, and the whisky is of natural colour.
