Compass Box No Name No. 3 Blended Malt (48.9%)

Compass Box No Name No. 3 is a blended malt bottled in July 2021 at 48.9% ABV. It is the third and last release in the No Name series of heavily peated blends, and is described as older, wilder and stranger than the earlier No Names. Laphroaig makes up 74.7% of the blend, with Bowmore at 11.3%, Mortlach at 7.5%, Clynelish at 6% and a Highland blend at 0.5%. The Laphroaig brings seaweed and grill smoke, while the Bowmore adds hints of mango and pineapple on the edge of ripeness. Tasting notes mention shells and sage, pineapple, and allspice smoke that moves in oily waves.
