Oak Cross is a blended malt from Compass Box, made with whiskies from Clynelish, Teaninich and Dailuaine. This 2018 bottling was matured in first-fill and refill bourbon casks together with select French oak.
The nose has soft vanilla, citrus, light spice, fresh apple and warm oak. The palate is creamy, with honey, vanilla, toasty oak, light pepper and a subtle biscuit note. The finish is medium to long and warm, with fruit and wood in balance.
