The Peat Monster is a peaty blended malt created by John Glaser of Compass Box, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It combines malts from Islay with a helping of Highland malt. The component distilleries are Laphroaig, Ledaig, Caol Ila, Ardmore, Clynelish, Teaninich and Dailuaine.
It is described as richly smoky, with underlying hints of fruit and oak.
