Compass Box Three Years Old Deluxe (2016)

Compass Box Three Years Old Deluxe is a 2016 limited release blend of malt whiskies, made as a playful answer to Scotland's age regulations. Only 3% of the blend is three years old. The other 97% is much older malt whisky, mainly Clynelish along with other Highland malts. It is described as creamy, waxy and rich, with the Clynelish character running through it. The nose shows honey, beeswax, vanilla, ripe stone fruit and light oak. The palate is full and creamy with a waxy texture, peach, spicy biscuit and soft wood. The finish is long, warm, slightly spicy and sweet.
