Compass Box Whisky de Table (2018)

Whisky de Table is a blended malt from Compass Box, released in 2018 and inspired by French table wines. It is meant as a whisky to pour and share over a meal. The blend uses young malts from the Highlands and Speyside, matured in first-fill and refill bourbon casks. The label follows the plain style of minimalist wine labels. The nose brings fresh citrus, green apple, light spices, soft vanilla and floral notes. On the palate it is light and smooth, with apple, pear, lemon peel, honey, grain and a hint of spice. The finish is short to medium-long, fresh and fruity, with a soft sweetness.
