Corsair Triple Smoke is an American malt whiskey made from 100% malted barley and bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. The barley is smoked with three different fuels: cherrywood from Wisconsin, beechwood from Germany and peat from Scotland. The spirit is pot-distilled and then aged in new charred American oak barrels.
Smoke comes first on the nose, with hickory, mesquite, cherry wood, earthy peat and a little brown sugar and vanilla. The palate is warm and malty, with layered smoke, caramel, orange peel, mint and baking spice. The finish is medium in length, with a gentle brininess from the peat alongside cherry and smoked wood.
