Corte Aleardi Valpolicella Classico DOC

A red wine from Corte Aleardi, made mainly from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, together with other varieties permitted by the regulations. The grapes come from hillside vineyards on clay and limestone soils, harvested generally between mid-September and mid-October. Vinification includes destemming and crushing, followed by alcoholic fermentation of the must with the skins and gentle pump-overs. The wine ages for some months in steel in the underground cellar, then completes maturation in bottle. In the glass it is ruby red, with a delicate bouquet of iris, rose and violet and red fruit notes. On the palate it is fresh, dry or slightly soft, lively and balanced.
