Founder's Choice is a cask strength single malt from Cotswolds, bottled at 59.1% ABV in a batch of 2,500 bottles.
It matured in American oak red wine casks that were shaved, toasted and re-charred, using a process developed by Dr Jim Swan.
The nose offers mango, peach and pear, with mocha and Matchmakers mint chocolate sticks building slowly. On the palate the mocha stays, joined by cinnamon, spicy ginger, foamy strawberry sweets and marmalade. The finish is bready, with the fresh mango returning.
