Cotswolds Golden Wold Single Malt Whisky - The Harvest Series #1 (52.5%)

Golden Wold is the first release in the annual Harvest Series from Cotswolds Distillery, bottled at 52.5% ABV. It is a single malt matured in bourbon casks, STR red wine casks and casks that previously held peated spirit. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colouring, and 5,000 bottles were made. The presentation tubes carry original artwork by Josephine Trotter, a local Cotswolds artist. The nose offers sun-dried hay, caramelised honey, oak vanilla and a little peat. On the palate there is silky custard with toasted oak, cocoa nibs and warm baking spices, and the finish carries smouldering peat alongside toasted brioche.
