Cotswolds Old Tom Gin (70cl, 42%)

Cotswolds Old Tom Gin is an English gin from the Cotswolds Distillery, in the 18th-century Old Tom style. It is bottled at 42% vol in a 70cl bottle and is sweeter, richer and softer than a London dry. It is made in small copper pot stills from the same botanical base as the distillery's dry gin, then lightly sweetened with natural sugar and given extra citrus and spice. The nose is honeyed citrus, juniper and light spice, with vanilla, orange peel and gentle floral notes. The palate is smooth and subtly sweet, with juniper, grapefruit, cardamom and angelica and a creamy texture. The finish is long and mellow, with orange zest, honey and warming spice.
