This is an English single malt from the Cotswolds distillery, which opened in 2014. It is a sherry cask release, put together from a marriage of selected and blended sherry casks.
It was bottled with minimal dilution, at 57.4% ABV, which keeps it close to cask strength.
The nose brings demerara sugar, cherry tart and a light note of roasted beans. On the palate it is viscous and rich, with dark red fruits, chocolate and lightly roasted nuts. The finish is led by peppery oak and dried sherry fruits.
