Craigellachie 13 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, distilled at Craigellachie distillery and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is known for oily, smoky character with oak and pie notes.
On the nose there are apple orchards in bloom, a slightly meaty edge, burnt popcorn and treacle tart. The palate opens with oily malt, then barbecued pineapple and summer berries, with pine nuts and almonds. The finish is soft, with a very light hint of sulphur behind biscuit and apple.
