Craigellachie 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and has no caramel colouring.
It starts in a mix of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. The whisky is then divided, with half going into first-fill Sherry casks and half into first-fill Bourbon casks.
The result sets the richness of sherry against the vanilla and oak of bourbon, with neither overpowering the other.
