Craigellachie 1995 is a 21-year-old Speyside single malt, distilled in 1995 and bottled as a single cask from a sherry butt at 52.3% ABV. It is the White Rook in The Chess Malt Collection, a series of Scottish single malts released as chess pieces, and it came out on 3 November 2017. Like every bottling in the series, it is at cask strength with no added colour and no chill filtration. The nose is soft, with raisins, chocolate, dark dried fruits and Christmas cake. Dried fruits, nuts, orange peel and caramel come through on the palate, along with dark chocolate and hints of tobacco and oak spice. The finish is long, with slightly bitter fruits, more chocolate and a touch of white pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
