Craigellachie – 30 Year Old 1995 Oloroso Cask #4573 (Exceptional Cask Series) (56.9%)

This Craigellachie 30 Year Old is a single cask Speyside malt from the Exceptional Cask Series. The spirit was filled into an Oloroso sherry cask on 19 September 1995 and left to mature for thirty years. Cask #4573 was bottled straight from the cask at 56.9% ABV with no water added, and it filled 426 bottles. Craigellachie works with worm tub condensers and oil-fired kilning, and makes its whisky without chill filtration or added colour. The tasting notes describe rich orchard fruits, toasted cereal and creamy vanilla, with hints of aniseed and soft leather, and a zesty orange peel finish.
