CRN57 25 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

CRN57 25 Year Old is an aged blended malt from The Cairn, a distillery near Grantown-on-Spey on the northern edge of the Cairngorms National Park. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring but chill-filtered. The name refers to the distillery's position on the 57th parallel. The master blenders put it together from mature malts as a preview of the style of the future single malts from The Cairn. The independent family company Gordon & MacPhail stands behind the distillery. The nose combines rum-soaked raisins, brown sugar, ripe fig and maple syrup, with a hint of liquorice. The palate brings raspberry, pistachio, apple and lively orange peel, and the finish leaves milk chocolate and oak.
