Croithlí (Crolly) – Coillin Darach Quercus Alba (70cl, 46%)

This is a single malt Irish whiskey from Croithlí (Crolly) in Donegal, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Coillin Darach series, which uses different oak species to shape flavour. The whiskey was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in virgin oak. Quercus Alba is American white oak, the wood used almost exclusively by the American bourbon industry, and it imparts sweet caramel, toffee, vanilla and coconut.
