Crown Salute 12 Year Old is a deluxe blended Scotch whisky with a twelve-year age statement, bottled at 43% ABV.
The nose is toffee and dried citrus peel, with orange marmalade and lemon zest over soft caramel, alongside beeswax, chamomile and dried heather. The palate is creamy and rounded, with barley sugar, almond and oatcake, then nutmeg, clove and stewed apple.
A little smoke and camphor sit underneath. The finish is medium to long, with malt, dried fruit, a touch of tobacco leaf and a dry, herbal fade.
