A 32 year old blend from Murray McDavid's Crafted Blend series, distilled in 1988 and bottled at 50% ABV. This Batch 3 release combines equal parts Islay malt and single grain whisky, all matured for at least 32 years. The malt comes from Bowmore and Laphroaig and the grain from North British. Just 600 bottles were filled. The whisky was matured in bourbon hogsheads and finished in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. The nose has a distant beach bonfire, sea breeze, stewed fruit, creamy lemon and honey. The palate shows iodine, sweet smoke and orange oil. The finish is long, with caramel, candied ginger and smoky saltiness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
