Dad's Hat Bottled In Bond Rye Whiskey is a Pennsylvania straight rye, distilled and bottled by Mountain Laurel Spirits in Bristol. It is bonded, so it comes from a single distillation season and has spent at least four years in barrel. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 80% rye, 15% barley malt and 5% rye malt, with grain sourced locally in Bucks County. The whiskey is double-distilled, fermented for about a week and aged in new charred American oak. The tasting notes describe spicy rye grain, black pepper and cinnamon up front, with vanilla and caramel from the oak and a dry, warming finish.
