Dad's Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey Port Wine Finish (75cl, 47%)

Dad's Hat Port Wine Finish is a Pennsylvania rye whiskey bottled at 47%. The mash bill is 80% rye, 15% malted barley and 5% malted rye, with no corn, and the spirit is pot-distilled by Mountain Laurel Spirits in Bristol, Pennsylvania. It spends a minimum of six months in new charred American oak quarter casks, then a further three months in used port wine barrels. The nose brings dried fruits, Christmas cake and jammy dark fruit. On the palate come caramel, creamy oak, cracked black pepper, cinnamon and dark chocolate, with a minty, rye-bread lift on the finish.
