Dad's Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey Vermouth Finish (75cl, 47%)

Dad's Hat Vermouth Finish is a Pennsylvania rye whiskey made by Mountain Laurel Spirits in Bristol, Pennsylvania. It is bottled at 47% in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 80% rye, 15% malted barley and 5% malted rye, with no corn, and the spirit is pot-distilled. It spends at least six months in new charred oak quarter casks, then three months in used barrels that previously held Quady Winery's Vya Sweet Vermouth, which gives a deep reddish-brown colour. The nose is orange, cinnamon, pepper and vanilla. The palate opens with rye spice and turns dry in the middle, ending in a delicate sweet-vermouth finish.
