Daftmill – 2009 11 Year Old Summer Release Asia Batch (70cl, 46%)

This is an 11 year old single malt from Daftmill, a farm distillery run by the Cuthbert family, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2020. The barley was Optic, grown in the farm's South fields and harvested in the last week of August 2006, then malted in Alloa in the summer of 2007. A first-fill ex-Oloroso butt and four ex-bourbon barrels were filled in June and July 2009 to make up the bottling. It is the first Daftmill release to contain whisky matured in both bourbon and sherry casks.
