Daftmill – 2010/2021 Summer Release (70cl, 46%)

A single malt from Daftmill, distilled in the summer of 2010 and bottled in 2021, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is made from Optic barley, a variety grown on the distillery's own land since the 1980s, and was matured on site in the farm's own warehouse. The bottling is a blend of 25 first-fill ex-bourbon casks, with 6,250 bottles produced. The nose is delicate and pastry-like, with beeswax, vanilla, peaches and cardamom. The palate is balanced, with brown sugar, praline and banana, and the finish is long and spicy, with cinnamon and dried ginger.
