Daftmill – 2010/2023 Winter Release (70cl, 46%)

A single malt from Daftmill, distilled in the winter of 2010 and bottled in 2023, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. The barley was Publican, harvested on 28th and 29th August 2009 and malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010. It is a blend of 25 first-fill bourbon casks, aged for over 12 years at the distillery. Daftmill has run as a farm distillery since 2005 and is owned by the Cuthbert family. The nose is delicate and pastry-like, with beeswax, vanilla, peaches and cardamom. The palate is balanced, with brown sugar, praline and banana, and the finish is long and spicy, with cinnamon and dried ginger.
