A 12-year-old single malt from Daftmill, the farm distillery in the Lowlands, bottled in 2023 at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 6,550 bottles were filled.
It was made from Publican barley, harvested by John and Sandy on 28 and 29 August 2009 and malted in summer 2010 at Crisp Malt in Alloa. Twenty-five first-fill bourbon barrels were filled in November and December 2010.
The nose offers fresh tropical fruit, pineapple and mango with a little cola, over dried figs and cigars. The palate is peppery, with herbs, fresh lemon zest, malt, vanilla, toffee and buttery pastry. The finish carries ginger and sherry notes, nutty and heavy, leaving a slightly dry feel.
