Daftmill – 2011 Summer Release (70cl, 46%)

This is a single malt from Daftmill, a farm distillery in the Lowlands run by the Cuthbert family since 2005. It was distilled in the summer of 2011 and bottled in 2023, in a limited edition of 6,550 bottles at 46% ABV. It is a vatting of 27 first-fill bourbon casks, which came from the Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky. The whisky matured for over 12 years at Daftmill Farm. The barley is Publican, harvested on 28 and 29 August 2009 and malted in Alloa in the summer of 2010. The distillery runs only in the farm's quieter seasons, mid-summer and winter.
