Daftmill 2012 Winter Batch is a single malt from the family-run Daftmill distillery in the Lowlands. It was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2026 after 13 years in cask, at 46% with natural colour and without chill-filtering. The outturn was 3,475 bottles.
The whisky matured in a combination of first-fill sherry hogsheads and first-fill bourbon barrels. The barley comes from the distillery's own farm.
The nose offers ripe fruit, malt sweetness, vanilla and a light sherry spice. On the palate come honey, barley sugar, apple and pear, with creamy vanilla and gentle spice from the sherry wood. The finish is medium in length, with malt sweetness, fresh fruit and soft oak.
