This Summer Batch Release from Daftmill in Fife is a vatting by Francis Cuthbert of whisky from fourteen first-fill bourbon barrels, which matured on the upper level of a traditional dunnage warehouse. The spirit was distilled in the summer of 2013 and filled into cask that July. It was bottled in June 2026 at twelve years old and 46%, without chill-filtration or added colour, in an edition of 3,775 bottles.
The barley was Concerto, grown on the distillery's own southern fields, harvested on 2 and 3 September 2011 and malted in Alloa in spring 2012.
The nose is soft and sweet, with barley sugar, shortbread, oat porridge and tinned peaches. The palate adds smooth oats, and the long, gently warming finish holds honeyed apricots.
