Daftmill Single Farm 2008 Winter Release is a Lowland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. Daftmill is made on the Cuthbert family's working farm in Fife, from barley grown, malted, distilled and matured on the estate.
This seasonal release was distilled in 2008 in the colder months and aged entirely in first-fill bourbon casks. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is fresh, with orchard fruit, vanilla, soft malt, honey and meadow grass. The palate shows apple, pear and creamy toffee with subtle oak and spice. The finish is long and clean, with malt, citrus and soft vanilla.
